The republican stage of the competition 03/06/2025
The republican stage of the competition "Tashabbus-2017" for the prize of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan was held in Tashkent.

The competition, held annually by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Farmers' Council of Uzbekistan and the Khunarmand Association together with a number of ministries and departments, helps support small businesses, private entrepreneurship and the farming movement, and preserve and further develop the traditions of national handicrafts. The winners of the Karakalpakstan, regional and Tashkent city stages took part in the republican stage.

The ever-growing number of participants testifies to the prestige of the competition. This year, more than 7 thousand business entities took part in the district and city stages of the competition. 41 contestants who received the highest score from the jury reached the republican stage.

Small businesses quickly adapt to market changes, and are an important factor in ensuring the sustainability of the country's economy, increasing incomes, and creating new jobs. In the context of increasing competition, small businesses and private entrepreneurship make a huge contribution to ensuring the progressive development of the national economy and improving the well-being of our people.

One of the successful entrepreneurs is Ruziboy Bekmetov from the Khorezm region. His agro-industrial complex "Feedgran", which began its activities in 2009, produces eggs and compound feed. The complex grows 220 thousand chickens using German technology. Last year, the enterprise exported eggs for almost 550 thousand dollars.

- Our enterprise also has Swiss technology for the production of granulated and non-granulated compound feed for poultry, fish, and livestock, - says R. Bekmetov. - Last year, we produced more than 7 thousand tons of feed, half of the products were exported. The annual net profit amounted to over 660 million soums. These results are achieved thanks to the support provided by the President of our country, the favorable conditions created, and the benefits and preferences provided to support business.

Our country has also created ample opportunities for farming.

Tokhir Sairamov from Tashkent region effectively uses the created conditions. In addition to livestock, fish farming, and poultry farming, his multi-profile farm "Shoshtepa Shams" also grows fruit and vegetable crops, processes meat and milk, and produces ceramic containers. Milk, cream, and other dairy products produced under the brand name "Shoshtepa Shams" are now sold in large supermarkets in Tashkent.

The participants of the "Tashabbus-2017" competition were particularly interested in the stands with products by national artisans. Their artistic taste and skill are striking. Here you can see examples of oriental miniatures, wooden and ceramic products, jewelry, children's furniture, and many other types of products by folk craftsmen.

- Our country has all the necessary conditions for the free activity and realization of the creative potential of artisans, - says Dmitry Inyushev from the Surkhandarya region. - Since childhood, I have been making pottery, jewelry, and toys. Currently, I am trying myself in modeling clothes that combine elements of national costume and modern style. I teach the secrets of the craft to women in the village of Kakaydi. In the future, I plan to open workshops on Surkhan embroidery, pottery and carpet making.
